Neil Watt
Having played golf from the age of 7, as a teenager I was never off the golf course often spending my summer holidays at the course. Most of my golf has been in the North East of Scotland and Highland area and enjoy the challenge of links golf.

Cabot Highlands (Castle Stuart) – an amazing experience from start to finish. The course is simply stunning, views incredible, a fair test with large undulating greens make it my favourite. The hospitality is second to none from the moment you arrive.
Favourite Course
I’ve always had a love of Moray (Old) – One of my best memories of golf is holing a putt from one end of the green to the other on the famous 18th hole in a junior open. It sticks with me and remember it every time I play.
Favourite Hole
The 7th at Cullen Links. A viewpoint like no other with a unique downhill 224-yard par 3. You can see virtually every hole on the course from the tee and the view over the Cullen Bay on a lovely summer’s day is hard to beat.
Chris Ross
Golf has been a major part of my life from the age of 5 but have now played all over Scotland but Cullen links is my home and has been a massive part of my family history too. I love the fun social side but also crave the individual competition just as much.

I have to include Trump International Aberdeen. It’s just out of this world. There’s no average holes and the experience from the minute you turn The 3rd hole at Castle Stuart. Short par 4 downhill towards the sea, there are so many ways to play it. It’s risk-reward at its absolute best.
I must have played the course now about 10 times and I have had everything from an eagle to double bogey. It’s a lovely part of the course and the castle comes into view just off the green.
However, I must also make reference to the 7th Hole at Cullen Links which is also close to my heart.off the car is just incredible. We are indeed blessed in this part of Scotland though and Castle Stuart and Royal Dornoch are every bit as good.
Favourite Course
I would have to say Trump Aberdeen.

Being born and brought up in the Northeast of Scotland as a teenager there was a choice of Football, Fishing and Golf. I never had enough patience for fishing but I loved to golf. It’s just a shame that I’m not very good at it!

Golfing Achievements
Have been lucky enough to win a few local competitions in my golfing career to date, notably at Cullen Links Golf Club. However, it has to be said, not for some time!
Best Course Played
Must have to say I have a few. But if you were to push me, it would have to be Royal Dornoch. It is an old school links course with some fantastic holes and brilliant views.
Favourite Course
My favourite course is and will always be St Andrews old. I have been lucky enough to watch many Opens at this magical place. Mike and I took a bus load of juniors down the year Zach Johnson won. Yes the year of the terrible rain! But we got lucky and had arrived as the rain relented. Kids had a great day and so did I.
Favourite Hole
My hole is the 18th at Carnoustie. Love that hole because of the shenanigans at the 1999 Open. With the outcome being a Scottish winner. Showing my age now! But also because of a golfing holiday with my kids, they loved Carnoustie.
Michael Findlay
Proud Scotsman living in Cullen, the town I grew up in. I have been a member of our local golf club, Cullen Links, for the best part of 40 years. When I’m at home from my work overseas in the oil & gas industry, I try to spend as much time as possible on this testing par 63 true links golf course.

Lost more than I’ve won but that’s what keeps you going back for more. I like to compete whenever I can.
Best Course Played
The Old Course St Andrews purely because of the prestige and all the history there, it’s a special feeling for the golf fanatic walking down that 18th fairway!
Favourite Course
Apart from my local course Cullen Links, Castle Stuart is hard to beat, a par 72 championship links which has hosted the Scottish Open on 4 occasions. A warm Highland welcome awaits you with great facilities and views over to the Black Isle and out towards the Moray Firth.
Favourite Hole
The 18th at Castle Stuart, a great risk reward par 5 which I'm sure has ruined many a card. 3 shots required to find the green for most but depending on wind conditions can be got at in 2 if you can send it out there and your brave enough!
